Meet the Captain and Best Mate

Your captain is Joe Rech, a true Floridian, born and raised in Clearwater on the Sun Coast of Florida. After graduating high school, he joined the military (the Air Force) and toured the world for the next few decades before resettling back in his home state. He has never been very far from home and came back often to be around family and friends. He has always been on or around a body of water almost his entire life.

After returning home, the best way he could enjoy his passion, being on the water, as much as possible was to take family and friends out into the Gulf of Mexico as much as possible. One thing led to another and he obtained his US Coast Guard Captain’s License, OUPV (also known as a six-pack).

We look forward to taking you and your family and friends out to our paradise and show you what we get to see almost every day. With so much history in this area, we would be more than happy to share some of that with you as well if you wish.

Our Boat

Our boat is a 2019 2690 SD Hurricane with a 300 HP Yahama engine. For your convenience we have a bimini top for shade as well as an on-board bathroom (full head for you Navy types), a spray shower, and sink. The boat is serviced annually to ensure your complete safety. We have all US Coast Guard required equipment and a Coast Guard licensed Captain (me!) trained in CPR and First Aid. It has twin power poles making it easy to anchor on any one of our many gorgeous local islands. All you have to do is sit back and relax while listening to your favorite music on our amazing radio with built in blue tooth and speakers near every seat on the boat. We also have a Sirius subscription allowing for more than 300 channels of your favorite music.
